The Project Manager at Benjamin Matthew Contracting plays a key role in overseeing residential and commercial renovation projects from start to finish. This is a highly client-facing position that requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. You will act as the main point of contact between clients, designers, GM, sub trades, and the internal team while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
This role involves managing multiple projects ranging in value from $100,000 to $1,000,000+. Approximately 60% of this role is office based, 30% involves time on site, and 10% includes hands-on labour or time on the tools as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a project management or construction management role
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction
- Ability to confirm specifications and place material orders accurately
- Strong customer service skills and a professional client-facing presence
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple active projects
- Experience coordinating trades, suppliers, and internal staff
- Comfortable working with technology including email, builder software, and Microsoft Office
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Valid driver’s license
